About this artwork
From the churchyard on the church hill, the wooden cruciform Ruokolahti Church fills the center frame — its timber walls, cupola dome, and tall spire rising under a heavy overcast October sky. Mossy gravestones of the old churchyard crowd the left foreground while a golden autumn birch leans in from the left and the stone boundary wall runs along the right. Flat diffuse daylight suits the scene honestly: no false sun, just the wet, muted tones of a South Karelian autumn day.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
